Sunny Sunday

 Hi efurrybody!  It's a sunny Sunday here and mom bean opened the sunny room for me. 

I don't know what happened but all of the furr-niture disappeared awhile ago.  Darn good thing my beds, and cat tree stayed. 

Time for a nap! Have a good day.

 Hi efurrybody, Saku here. The mom bean has been furry derelickt in her duties here, but she has been taking some photos.

Here I is, in all my glorious self. I'm probably waiting patiently for my next meal. 

And here I am tucked away, in the sunny room. Yep, it got warm enough (for Saku) out there one day so the mom bean opened the door for me.

To show I'm not the least bit jealous, here's photo of Spencer from the mom bean's last visit.

Mom bean says Spencer was pretty skittish at first, but by the end of her visit, the little girl even came to her for pets! No cuddles yet, but maybe next time.

Sunny Days again!

Hi everybuddy! 

It's sunny days here and the sunny room has been open most afternoons. I was having a lovely nap this afternoon and then click, click, click.

 I got woke up by that darn flashy box...though no flashy was needed.

I don't look furry pleased do I?

Now I'm bugging mom bean asking nicely for treats. I deserve them, don't you think?

It's Cold out there

 And I don't care!

Mom bean took this picture through a window 'cuz she says it is way too cold* to be in the sunny room.  

I'm just a sun seeking cat so I stuck it out for a little bit before she dared to venture out and bring me back indoors. I was fine, I tell you, but she worries. Guess I'll have to find another spot for a nap.  

*It might be sunny but the outside temperature is -16C and the inside temp isn't much higher...crazy old cat!

Baby, it's hot out there!

Hi efurrybody, Saku here!

Sasha and I love our sunny room, but the mom bean says it is too hot out there sometimes.  So look what she went and did.

She put up new cloths on the windows to keep the sun out! Let me tell you, we wasn't furry happy with this.  Too bad Sheldon isn't around, he'd climb these things and put some extra holes in them.  

But you know, it's not all bad.  She does open some of these some times so we do get some sun shine.  One of the cloths is in front of my cat tree and she always opens that one in the morning so I can watch for the burds in the trees.

And even though there is no sun puddles to sleep in, my new bed is furry comfy!

I guess I'll forgive her.

It's all good

Hi efurrybody, Saku here today!

I has forgiven the mom bean for making such a mess of our sunny room.  

She brought home a brand new rug for us!!!  Well me, mostly 'cuz I like to lie in front of the sunny room door.  

It's the place to be in case she opens the door and then I can get to the out!

Mom bean says she might even get me a harness and a leash so I can stay out with her.  This is how I feel about that!  

I like it best when she lets me outside before she cuts off the grass.  Sometimes I eat some, sometimes I chase the bugs, and sometimes I stare off into space check out the path to the front yard.  She doesn't let me go there 'cuz she says it's too close to the street.

Happy Caturday!

Kitties, we are so thankful for Caturday!  Yesterday was a no good, horrible day.  You won't believe what our mom bean did to us.  Well, maybe you will....cuz you know she's annoying most of the time.  

She ruined the sunny room for the entire day!!!

 Yes, she did!  She took all of the soft towels and cushions off all of the chairs and took them away.  I (Sasha) was forced to nap in one of the cat beds.  For shame!

 She even turned some of the furniture on its side.  About the only good thing she did was to put the table in front of the window. I (Saku) found it a great spot to get some window whiffies.

 Even Sasha's favorite chair got the same treatment. 

Saku had to use the old scratcher as a spot to hang out.  Never mind the cat tree is right there.

And then, horror of all horrors, she made us leave the sunny room.  She brought out the sucking masheen and cleaned the floors.  The towels and cushions and even the rugs were taken away somewhere and came back later smelling different.  

By evening efurrything was finally back in place and we were allowed back in our room.  

And do you know why she said she did this to us?  She said it was 'cuz she thought the room smelled like cats.  Well, duh, we're cats aren't we?  

Oh well, all's well that end's well.  We're enjoying our sunny room again today.

Cozy kitty

Hi efurrybody, Saku here today!


Our mom bean has been busy lately but I've been able to pin her down for some cuddles while she has her morning coffee.  

I know she really likes it, even though I sometimes use my claws to let her know she's slacking off on the petting.  Hey, sometimes she needs a reminder!





When I'm not cuddling with mom, or napping on the bed, and if the sun is out, the mom bean is opening up the sunny room for us.

Appawently it wasn't quite warm enough for me the other day.  I'm snuggled under the towel.  I don't know why the mom bean laffed at me - I think I was being furry smart.

It's a cool day here today with no sun so I guess mom's lap will be the place to be.  Have a great day efurrybody!

Sunny Days

Hi efurrybody, it's Sasha here today.  Saku is around too...just not sure where he is.  

The sun has been visiting the last couple of days, so the sunny room got opened up for us.  Mom bean says the floor is cold but that doesn't bother me...I has a fur coat.

There have been lots of naps and I even let the sticky bean sit with me one day.  He's not as grabby as he used to be, even pets me nice but boy, oh boy, can that bean talk!  Hard for a kitty to nap.


Maybe I need to learn to hide like Saku does.  



 He didn't even wake up when the mom bean took this photo.

Happy Mew Year!

Hi efurrybody, Sasha here today.  This picture is from a couple of days ago when the mom bean opened up the sunny room for me.

It wasn't furry warm outside but the sun on my furs was wonderful.  Mom bean says it will get even warmer today so I'm sure we'll be enjoying the sunny room again.  What a way to start a new year!


Saku and I  (and the mom bean too) send our best wishes to all of our furriends  for a sunny and happy 2020!

We've got sunshine today, and you know what that means?  Sunny room time!  Since I'm a furry old kitty, that sunshine feels so good on my furs and soaks right through to my bones. 

Ah, the life of a cat.  Now I just need to get the mom bean to get out of here with the flash box.*

Getting our easy on

Hi efurrybody, Sasha and Saku here today.  We're enjoying our easy in the sunny room!

Sasha is curled up in a chair fast asleep.  

Saku is up in the cat tree watching the great outdoors.

I've got a great view of the bird bath and the feeder too.  Mom bean went out earlier and filled both of them.  But for a little while both were empty!


But not for long - that's a grackle in the feeder. 

And one of the babies at the bird bath.  It's sure getting big and the feathers are coming in.

Then Mr. Squirrel showed up for his lunch.  Mom bean went out and told him to leave some for the birds.   He went away ...but for how long?

Napping - it's what we do best

Hi efurrybody!   Sasha and Saku here today!

These close-ups were taken by the mom bean last night when we all went to bed.  We sure like to get our pets in before she goes to sleep.  Gotta make sure she knows we luv her, right?  MOL
Saku likes to sit on top of her ...don't want her to fall out of bed, right?  

But we both know how to get out of the way when she rolls over to go to sleep.  

It has been furry hot here the last couple of days, so the mom bean has closed up the sunny room.  Today it is cooler and cloudy, so the room is open.  But the neighbour is putting up a new fence so it's noisy now.  Hmmm... maybe we need to convince the mom bean to go back to bed for the day.  We need our naps!

Happy Birthday Sasha!

Happy 19th birthday to our handsome mancat Sasha!  Mom bean isn't entirely sure when he was born but working backwards from when Sasha adopted our beans she believes it was within a few days of May 25.  So this year we'll celebrate today ('cuz she forgot this weekend!)

Sasha has always been a furry special kitty, pawtient with all the new kittens who come into his world, and just a happy, loving kitty to the beans.  He's gotten noisier as he's gotten older, always letting the beans know when he's hungry or wants some attenshun.  

Today he's in his favorite spot, in the sunny room in the midst of a sun puddle having a nap.  There will be treats later and lots of love from the beans. 

Sunny Caturday

Hi efurrybody!  We sure hope you're all having a great Caturday.  So far ours is full of sunshine and warms.  Mom bean says the rain is coming but for now we're enjoying napping in the sunny room.

We've had more visitors too!  Sometimes they pose for the flashy box, this guy wouldn't! 

We think the grackle didn't want his photo taken either.  He looks scary doesn't he?

Mr. Robin was much more accommodating.  

The trees in the neighbour's yards are starting to bloom and when the windows are open in the sunny room we can smell the flowers.

Spring is definitely here!  Have a great Caturday efurrybody!

Happy Caturday

Hi efurrybody, Sasha here today.  

Mom took this picture of me sleeping yesterday.  I was in the sunny room and it was sunny!  We've been able to spend time out there just about efurry day this week.  My old bones sure like it!

Spring has sprung here and the snow is all gone.  We did get some rain one day this week and our cat television had this program.

Mom bean says these burds are silly.  They were drinking out of the puddle.  There is a pond just a few blocks away!

It's kind of cloudy here today but warm.  I'm hoping the door to the sunny room will soon be open.  If it's not I'll be sure to yell.....right after my nap.

TBT - first cat

Among the old photos, mom bean found this one of Sasha when he was a furry little kitten.

Sasha came to live with mom bean and our bean sibs in July, 2000.  They had moved into our old house and decided it was time to bring a pet into the house.  Little did they know that nearly 19 years later, he'd still be here.  (I'm very happy that he is! - Mom)

As most of you know, Sasha is the elder statesman of the family. He has put up helped with all of the kittens who came later.  He was best friends with Silver.  Sami adored him, and he was pawtient with Shady, Silas, and Saku too.  He wasn't a big fan of Sheldon, but tolerated the kid while he was here.

These days he spends most of his time sleeping.  When not napping he is reminding the mom bean that it is dinner time, or letting her know he wants out in the sun room.  This photo was taken yesterday when the sun warmed up the room just enough for a quick visit.  Even mom bean came out and sat on the steps for a bit.  

Oh, and last night Sasha scared the daylights out of the mom bean.  She was just about asleep when she felt something on her face and just about jumped out of her skin because she thought it was a spider.  Then she realized it was Sasha's whiskers!  He was giving her butterfly kisses to let her know he wanted her spot on the bed.  Of course she moved over!

Confusion

Hi efurrybody, Saku here!

I was helping the mom bean with her knitting last night and she decided I could model the hat.  Looks purrfect, NOT!  Silly mom bean.

So, the mom bean hasn't been chasing green papers for awhile now.  Sasha and I talked about it, and we were a little worried but she brought home another bag of kibble, and more cans of stinky goodness.  There's enough to last for elebenty sixty two naps so we're okay.  

The best part is she's here at the house with us, and her nap is usually planted on her our chair.  Except she keeps bringing out the knitting!  

Oh, and something else that is confusing is our sunny room.  The other day it was furry sunny out there.  Sasha and I both asked politely (not so much - mom) to go out there so mom bean opened the door for us.  When we didn't immediately come in, mom bean closed the door on us!  Pretty soon we were asking, not so politely, to be let back inside.  It was sunny but furry cold!

Do you s'pose the sun forgot to turn on the heat that day?  We sure hope it turns back on soon!

Scorching Sunday

Hi efurrybody, it's Saku here today from the sunny room.  

Yep, even though it's pretty warm in here I'm enjoying the heat and the breeze from the fan.

As you can see, I've mastered the best way to get the necessary (and most) coverage of sunlight and cool'ish breeze.

Mom bean says I'll have to come indoors pretty soon though as the house is getting furry warm.  I don't know what 33C means (with a humidex of 39C) but for she says for beans that's pretty hot.

But for me, even with my fur coat, it's purrfect!!

Nap - Interrupted

Hi efurrybody,  Sasha here today.

It's a hard life living with a little sticky bean I tell you.  Not only does he interrupt my naps but he has a thing for my tail.  What is a kitty to do?

He's even taken to invading our sunny room!  But there is a fence on the stairs so I can hide in the basement with my bean brofur.

Sigh....will life efur get back to normal around here?  

Time to go find a good place to hide.  Have a good Caturday efurrybody!
