Another visitor

Hi efurrybody, we had a visitor today!  Sasha and I (Saku) were out in the sunny room enjoying the warm sun when mom bean came out to check on us.  NO, she wasn't the visitor!  It was Squirrel!!

The mom bean has been putting out seeds on the top of the bird feeder so more birds can eat.

 Squirrel spotted her through the window!

 He took a last few nibbles and then....

Away he went!  Goodbye squirrel!!   See you tomorrow.

Greedy visitor

Hi efurrybody!  It's not furry nice weather these days, so we don't get to hang out in the sunny room 'cuz it's too cold.  We spend lots of our time curled up napping, Sasha on the couch, and Saku on the mom bean's bed (or UTB).

So we thought we'd share a photo of a regular visitor to the burd feeder.  

Mr. Squirrel really likes the sunflower seeds!  He usually shows up after the birds have been there, but sometimes mom bean goes out and shoos him away.  He's a piggy!

Getting our easy on

Hi efurrybody, Sasha and Saku here today.  We're enjoying our easy in the sunny room!

Sasha is curled up in a chair fast asleep.  

Saku is up in the cat tree watching the great outdoors.

I've got a great view of the bird bath and the feeder too.  Mom bean went out earlier and filled both of them.  But for a little while both were empty!


But not for long - that's a grackle in the feeder. 

And one of the babies at the bird bath.  It's sure getting big and the feathers are coming in.

Then Mr. Squirrel showed up for his lunch.  Mom bean went out and told him to leave some for the birds.   He went away ...but for how long?

Someone turn it down please

Our cat television channel has been furry noisy the last couple of days!

There are now four baby grackles that have flown the coop.  Well, maybe not flown 'cuz they don't fly furry well.  But they can fly short distances, like up on top of the feeder, the bird bath, and even the fence.

 There were actually two that were hanging out on the ground underneath the feeder.  Mom bean says they don't eat the seed that has fallen though.


This one took a bath in the bird bath and then, darned bird, it pooped on the rock, and dirtied the bath water!  Mom bean laffs at the little feather tufts on its head.

 

The little one was waiting for one of the pawrents to show up with some food.  Mom bean tried to get a photo of the feeding but neither bird would cooperate. The little one squawks up a storm when it is hungry so mom bean always knows when they are out there.


They were all furry noisy this morning when Mr. Squirrel paid a visit to the feeder.  The pawrents even tried to make him go away but he didn't, he just tucked his tail in and kept on eating.  

Mom bean thought she might stop feeding the birds for a couple of days so maybe the grackles would go somewhere else.  But she's a softie and doesn't want to keep the other birds from having a snack too.  Or even Mr. Squirrel.

Visitors

Hi efurrybody!  Happy Caturday to you all.

It's a bit cool here today but the sun is shining.  That means sunny room time for us kitties (and mom bean too).  

A few days ago we got a new channel on our cat television out there.  Mom bean's brofur took down an old tree and put up a burd feeder.  We've had lots of visitors in the yard since then!

Mom bean has taken lots of photos but the silly burds try to hide on the other side of the feeder so they're not good pics.

And look who showed up this morning to partake in the seed goodness!  He was a real piggy!!

Troubled Tuesday

Hi efurrybody, Saku here!

You mights think I is looking at myself in the glass but I is not.

I is watching the trouble that is happening right outside my window.

Meet Trouble.  Now we know our furriends in at Pikkupunapippuri find these things are good to eat but our mom bean won't lets us outside to find out fur ourselves.

 He's pretty fast and he can jump from the ground to the top of the burd bath in one leap, but I still think I could catch him.

Betcha I could...one smack and Trouble the squirrel would be on the ground and then I'd put the bitey on him.  

Yep, that's just what I would do.  Sigh...if only the mom bean would let me at him.

Snarky Sunday

Hi efurrybody, Saku here.

Can you tell this is my annoyed look?And do you know why I am annoyed furreinds?

It's because the mom bean has been ignoring us all weekend!  Yesterday she went and got her furs cut, then she came home and got all dirty putting green things into dirt, and then she went shopping.  (She did have sense enuf to get clean first).

AND today, on easy Sunday, she's been ignoring us again. The silly bean has been cleaning the house, using the laundry masheens, and splashing water on the floors.  In between she was sitting outside on the deck...leaving us in the sunny room!

It took me until mid-day to get her to sit down long enough to tippy tap for me.  That's only because I informed her she could expect a slimy hairball in the bed tonight and she believe me.

Sigh...it's hard to have an easy day when you are trying to herd beans.  


Maybe I'll go watch this guy, 'cuz it looks like he is having a good day!
