Sneaky Sunday

Mom bean says I is a furry hard cat to take pictures of because efurry time I see the flashy box mom bean I stop what I is doing and come towards her.

So she has to be sneaky. Like coming around the island in the kitchen to catch me having my breakfast.

 Or sneaking up from the basement to catch me loafing on the new ottoman. 

She's right, 'cuz I got right off it to come see her.  

She says the only time she doesn't have to sneak up on me is when I'm napping with my big brofur, Sasha.  Yep, I don't even look at her then.  I lub my big brofur!

Is any of you like me, a little camera shy and wanting the bean's attenshun?  Does your bean have to sneak up on you too?

Cool Caturday

Hi efurrybody, Sami and Sasha here.

It is a furry cool Caturday (just 5C or 41F this morning) so we're just hanging out on our chair having a nap.

Mom bean brought home a new piece of furrniture for us yesterday too.

I Sami, have already put my claw marks on it and Sasku has furred it up nicely.

We're so good to our mom bean.

Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone, it's mom today.  I wanted to share with you the great news from our local Humane Society.  I know many of you have been following the news of Bruce Almighty as he's recovered from his significant injuries.

When Bruce first came to the shelter in his sad state (legs and paws wrapped tightly with electrical tape) people from our community, province, country and even across the world showed their support by donating funds for his care.

Because of the generous donations received, even more animals will be rescued.  Just this past weekend, the shelter held a special event "Bruce n' Buddies adoption event.  Check out out the results!

A BIG thank you to all who opened their homes to a furry friend last week - especially during the Bruce n' Buddies adoption event. Thanks to you, 75 animals found new forever homes! Congratulations to the 39 cats, 9 dogs, 20 kittens, 5 puppies, a rabbit and a guinea pig who are now living the life they were meant to live with their new families.

I'm sure you're wondering about Bruce too. Will he find his forever home soon.  The answer is yes, but it will be a few more days yet.  The interest in Bruce has been so great the shelter is taking applications until May 29!  From their website:

A short list of applicants will be selected to attend a short adoption interview.  Final selection will be made from approved short list applications.

Please note that the most important goal of this process is to adopt Bruce Almighty into an environment that will allow him the best opportunity to thrive and be happy.  We thank everyone for their overwhelming support and interest in Bruce Almighty.

I was hoping to find a photo of Bruce without his bandages but although there was a short video of him walking, I can't get it to upload.  If you want you can see it on their Facebook page posted on May 11.

From such a horrible situation, this sweet cat has made his way into the hearts of many, not only was his life saved but it brought about the opportunity for other animals to be cared for and loved as well.  That is something to be truly thankful for.

BTW, Sasha wasn't the only one sleeping last night.  Our innerwebs was too!  We wanted to visit our furriends but mom bean said it was inte...enter-mitt-tent, or something like that.  All we know is we had to watch her watch the guys chase the black thing on ice instead.

Snarky Sunday

Hi efurrybody, Saku here.

Can you tell this is my annoyed look?And do you know why I am annoyed furreinds?

It's because the mom bean has been ignoring us all weekend!  Yesterday she went and got her furs cut, then she came home and got all dirty putting green things into dirt, and then she went shopping.  (She did have sense enuf to get clean first).

AND today, on easy Sunday, she's been ignoring us again. The silly bean has been cleaning the house, using the laundry masheens, and splashing water on the floors.  In between she was sitting outside on the deck...leaving us in the sunny room!

It took me until mid-day to get her to sit down long enough to tippy tap for me.  That's only because I informed her she could expect a slimy hairball in the bed tonight and she believe me.

Sigh...it's hard to have an easy day when you are trying to herd beans.  


Maybe I'll go watch this guy, 'cuz it looks like he is having a good day!
