Not funny!

Our mom bean told us a story the other day about our cuzins, Kelfie and Callie.  They are the resident kitties at the mom bean's brofur's farm.

She got a text from her brofur that she read to us:

"Played a trick on the cats last night but this only works in an old house.  I was in the bathroom and a mouse ran under the door with a cat paw swiping at it.  So I opened the window, tossed the mouse outside, shut the window, and let the cats in. They went nuts trying to find it. :)"

"They both might need therapy."

She laffed and laffed....we don't think it is funny at all!  Here's Callie attacking him for being so mean. (Mom bean put the pink mask on him...now that's funny! MOL).

Callie Caturday

Hi efurrybody, it's cuzin Callie here today.  My hoo-man sent these pictures to Sasha and Saku's mom bean - she thought you'd like to see how big (and smart) I am!

I got these woofies where I want 'em.  That's Gracie (black and white) who is supposed to live at the neighbour's house and my sisfur woofie.

Oh, I should tell you about their latest escapade.  They went running last weekend and while they were away, Cola got caught in a snare for a coyote.  Luckily it broke (the trapper said he does that deliberately so he doesn't trap a deer), but she spent several hours in the trap.  This is what her nose looked like!  She had to go see the ebil v e t for medicine.  Thankfully she's all better now.
Have a great Caturday efurrybody!

Meet the fur cuzins

Hi efurrybody!

The mom bean went and visited the brother and family yesterday and met our newest fur cuzin.  She took some pictures to share with our furriends.

First off, here is Hollywood.  She is the sisfur of our Angel kitties, Shady and Silas.  She is 16 years old, is blind, but still is eating well.  Her bean father isn't happy with her as she doesn't always get to the box in time.  But mom bean gave him some ideas and things are going some better than there were a couple of weeks ago.

This is the newest fur cuzin.  Meet Callie!  She is a four month old tortie, and looks a lot like Hollywood's mom, Puddy.  She's a furry nice kitty and isn't afraid of Hollywood or her woofie brofur.

She spent part of her morning chasing grasshoppers in the yard, so she pretty much slept the whole time Mom bean was there!
See all the beds?  The littlest one for Callie, a medium sized one for Hollywood, and a big bed for....
Cola!  She's about 2 years old, and a German shepherd mix. Cola is furry shy and not certain about the mom bean being there.  Though she did let mom bean pet her just a little bit.

She's been with the family for just over a year and was a rescue dog.

Hollywood doesn't like either of her new fursibs furry much, Callie lubs Cola, but Cola isn't furry sure of her.  It was funny to watch the kitten try to crawl up on the woofie.  We know who is going to be the boss of the fursibs!

Have a great day efurrybody!

Furriends

Hi efurrybody, we thought we'd share picture of our cuzins, Hollywood and PJ, with their new fursib Cola.  Yep, she's a woofie!  We would be furry afraid but mom bean says these kitties are used to woofies.

Cola is a rescue puppy and is about 6 months old.  That means she's gonna get bigger.  We think she's big enough already!

Hollywood and PJ are the sisfurs of our angels Shady and Silas.  They will be 14 years old in June this year.  Hollywood (the black kitty) has had some health issues this year, but PJ is furry healthy.  The kitties live in the new porch or in the basement most of the time, though they both make a run for it when they can get into the house.  They also are furry good hunters and bring mousies into the porch and even, sometimes a burdie.

Mom bean still hasn't met Cola in purrson but says she'll go out for a visit to the farm soon.  Hollywood luvs our mom bean especially when she gives her brushes, but PJ is furry shy most of the time.  We plan to stay home and nap as we has no interest in meeting the woofie.

Have a great Caturday efurrybody!

Farewell Cuzin Puddy

Mom bean told us yesterday that our cuzin Puddy ran to the Bridge that morning.  We is sad, as Puddy was the mom cat to our Silas and Shady, and she always came for a cuddle with the mom bean when she visited the farm.

Here is the message she received:

The only other news I have is sad but at the same time, had to happen. Puddy, who has lived at our place longer than we have (so I guess that makes it her place), had to be put down this morning. We assume she was almost 17 years old but the vet thought she was 18 plus. We think she may have had a stroke but as of two days ago, she quit eating and could barely walk. We were still able to get water into her but she couldn’t chew or swallow food so was facing a slow starvation, thus we took her in this morning. She is now buried in the flower garden between Luna and Anna.*

Puddy was an amazing cat. She was a great hunter and this spring, was still bringing us mice and birds and the odd chipmunk. In her prime, she used to go out into the pasture and bring back gophers. In our first year living in her place, we had a Japanese guest who I took for a mile long hike through the hills under a full moon. Puddy decided that was fun and came the whole way with us. She was once grabbed by a Great Horned Owl but survived that with three small puncture wounds. Not sure how the owl fared but I’m thinking he took a beating. Puddy didn’t back down to anything and put the run on many a dog. When we first moved out to her farm, P and I went out in the dark on the front lawn, plunked down a couple of chairs and were sitting watching the stars when Puddy jumped up into my lap. I guess she decided I was ok and I became her person from then on. I will miss her and how she would lie along my forearm with her claws wrapped around the ends of my fingers, being carried around like royalty. She was a pretty amazing arm cat who will be on her farm from now to eternity.

*Luna and Anna were the woofies who lived on the farm with Puddy and her daughters, P.J. (Puddy Junior) and Hollywood.

Run free Puddy and say hello to Sami for us.

Long time, still no see

Hi efurrybody, Sasha, Sami, & Saku here!

We knows it has been long since we been here and we totally is putting the blame on the mom bean.

She came back almost a week ago, and did she spend that time with us?  No she did not!

Nope, she went to chase green papers and when she got home she hung out with this kid.

This is Stanley, our fur cuzin.  He lived in OUR
house for a whole week!

Mom bean says it is 'cuz the place our bean sisfur lives in needed to be sprayed for bugs.

Don't think he was a scaredy cat, cuz he isn't!

He scared the pants off Saku more than elebenty times!!!

We is glad that he wented home yesterday but the mom bean is a little sad.

We guess we'll have to spend some extra cuddle time with her this weekend.  AND getting her to read all our furriend's blogs too!

Have a great weekend efurrybody!

Takeover Tuesday

Hi efurrybody, Hollywood here.  I asked my aunt bean if I could say thank you to efurrybody for your kind comments and she said yes!

I is the cuzin of Sasha, Sami, and Saku, daughfur to Puddy, and sisfur of PJ (Puddy Junior).  I lives with my momfur and sisfur on a farm.  Most of the time I is a porch kitty, sometimes I is an outdoor kitty, and once in a while I gets to be a house kitty.

A couple of weeks ago I had to go to the ebil v e t for surgery on my eye.  I'll let the aunt bean explain.

Hollywood had a sore eye and the vet had given them antibiotics to treat it, but it wasn't improving.  Then the vet realized her eyelids were curling in, the hair was rubbing against the eye causing an abscess.  The vet operated to fix the eyelid and then scraped (ewww) the abscess.  As of last evening, Hollywood has the all clear, the eye is completely healed and the stitches were removed. Back to Hollywood.

You can't tell from my picture but I is a black kitty, with grey furs underneath.  The aunt bean can't figure out why the v e t had to shave so much fur but it took off some of my mats so I was happy.  I didn't like the cone of shame though.

This is my sisfur PJ.  She and I are both long haired kitties.  She looks like our momfur, Puddy 'cuz she's a tortie but our momfur is short hair.

We lubs our aunt bean 'cuz she gives us brushies to help get rid of our mats. (Even if it looks like PJ is sticking her tongue out at her, MOL)

This is where we live most of the time. It is a bright, sunny room (when the sun is shining), and our pawrents have given us baskets and beds to sleep on.

We also have two litter boxes, plus we can usually get outside as the beans leave the door unlatched for us except in the winter.  When we can we sneaks into the house.  It's fun to listen to the beans run around looking for us.

Well, I just want to say again, thank you to efurrybody for your purrs and kind thoughts.  I is feeling much better, and now I can come and go as I please again.  The only thing I'll miss is being able to be in the house.  Maybe I can ask aunt bean to come again soon.. she's a real sucker softie.  I even gots to sleep on the bed with her when she stayed with me.

Have a great Tuesday efurrybody!

Late Mancat Monday

Hi efurrybody, Saku here!

Can you believe it?  The mom bean just gotted home and it's like late o'clock here!*

She was on the road 'cuz she had to pick up our cuzin Hollywood at the ebil v e t office. Her bean brofur told her Hollywood had an appointment to have her stitches out in the morning, but he forgotted to tell her Hollywood had an appointment after work to have her eye examined too.

Mom bean says it's a good thing she likes her bean brofur, and she lubs Hollywood more.

So Hollywood is home safe and sound, and very glad to be there with her momfur and sisfur.  She gotted her stitches out, the cone of shame is gone, and she can hang out in the porch in the sunshine.

I guess I'm not too mad at the mom bean for being away so long 'cuz I know she was helping our cuzin.

Good night efurryone!  Hope you all had a wonderful Mancat Monday!

*it's only 8 p.m. but apparently for Saku that's late - Mom

Cuzin Caturday

Hi efurrybody, this is our cuzin Hollywood.  She had to have surgery on her eye a week or so ago.  Mom bean isn't sure exactly what was wrong, but her lower eye lid was turned in so the ebil v e t had to fix it.

Today, mom bean is going to the farm to stay with Hollywood 'cuz her beans are going away. Hollywood has to have medicines over the weekend, and then have her stitches taken out on Monday.  Mom bean is going to take her to the v e t on Monday and is a little worried Hollywood won't want to co-operate.  This could be fun!

We will miss the mom bean but we's sure Hollywood will be happy to have her there.

See you all on Monday!
